First English Sodorin
The first English Sodorin was held on July 26 to July 30. 2019. Eight Shami from around the world gathered at the Nichiren Buddhist International Center (NBIC), Hayward, California USA. In addition to Sodorin, the Chanting Test was also held. Passing both of these are important steps in becoming a Nichiren Shu priest.
In rules unlike the daily life, Shami received instruction from eight Nichiren Shu priests with a lot of experience from early morning to night.
All Shami completed the Sodorin. May this Sodorin be a valuable experience for them. We hope that they keep the practice to be a Nichiren Shu priest.
