終戦80年を迎えて

本年は終戦80年、そして本日は終戦の日にあたります。

先の大戦においてお亡くなりになったすべての方々に、衷心より哀悼の意を表します。また、耐えがたい苦しみを受けられたすべての人々に寄り添いつつ、誠心よりお見舞いを申し上げます。

終戦80年の終戦の日に際し、日蓮宗は世界平和をこの社会に実現するために「いのちに合掌」の精神をもって、世界平和を希求する活動、立正平和に向けて邁進することをお誓いいたします。

私たちのみならず未来に誕生する尊い「いのち」が、平和な世の中で心穏やかに生きていくことができることを願ってやみません。

Statement on the 80th Commemoration of the End of World War II

This year marks the 80th commemoration of the end of the war, and today is the Day of Remembrance for the End of the War.

We express our heartfelt condolences to all those who lost their lives in World War II. We also accompany with our prayers all those who have experienced immense suffering and embrace them with compassion.

On this day marking the 80th commemoration of the war’s end, Nichiren Shu pledges to deepen our dedication to realize world peace and keep working upon our International Propagation Policy "With You, For All."

We earnestly hope that not only our generation, but also those who will live in the future, will be able to enjoy living in a peaceful world with respectful hearts.
