ロシアによるウクライナへの侵攻から一年

我々日蓮宗は、ロシア連邦によるウクライナ領域内への侵攻に対し、引き続き強く非難致します。

昨年２月２４日の開戦からすでに一年が経過しましたが、未だに終結の兆しは見えず、いまもなお尊き人命が次々と奪われており、戦禍に翻弄される日々に絶望しながら恐怖と悲しみの底に立たされている人々の心身を案じると、遺憾の念を禁じ得ません。

宮沢賢治が「世界がぜんたい幸福にならないうちは個人の幸福はあり得ない」と示したように、私たち一人ひとりが此度の侵攻を他人事とせず、関心を示して発信すること、そして何よりも声高らかに恒久なる平和を祈り続けることが求められております。

あらゆる戦争行為へ反対の意を示し、平和的対話によって即時終結されることを強く要請するものであります。

Statement concerning the one year mark of the invasion of Ukraine

We of Nichiren Shu, continue to strongly condemn the Russian Federation’s invasion of Ukraine.

It’s has been a year since the start of the war on February 24 last year, but there is still no end in sight, and precious lives are still taken one after another. We are profoundly worried about the minds and bodies of people at the mercy of the war, living without hope in the depths of fear and sadness.

As the poet Kenji Miyazawa once said, ‘There is no personal happiness until all people in the world are happy,’ each of us must not take this invasion as someone else’s business, but take interest and show it, and above all, continue to pray together loudly for lasting peace.
