世界各所で自然災害が起きている中、6月24日にもベネズエラ・ボリバル共和国においてマグニチュード7.5の地震が発生し、多くの尊い“いのち”が失われ、多大な被害が生じましたことに、深く哀悼の意を表するとともに、被災された全ての方々に心からのお見舞いを申し上げます。
“いのち”の大切さをなによりも重視し、「いのちに合掌」を布教方針としている日蓮宗は、1人でも多くの方々のご無事とベネズエラの一日も早い復興を心からお祈りいたします。

Statement of Condolence for the Earthquake in Venezuela

On June 24, a magnitude 7.5 earthquake struck the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, causing extensive damage and the tragic loss of many precious lives. On behalf of Nichiren Shu, I would like to express my deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to all those affected by this disaster.
We sincerely pray for the safety of everyone in the region and for the swift recovery of Venezuela.
Nichiren Shu upholds the spirit of reverence for all existence — "With You, For All" — and will continue to stand closely by every precious life.
